Panel Discussion with ESUSA Alumni at Peabody and Peabody Staff

October 11, 2022, 7-8pm ET via Zoom

*This event has passed, but the recording is now available in the Resource Hub.

We are excited to announce that ESUSA will continue its partnership with The Peabody Institute of The John Hopkins University to provide up to two young musicians from ESUSA member organizations with four-year full-cost-of-attendance scholarships to Peabody Conservatory for incoming freshmen beginning in Fall 2023.

Join us for a panel webinar hosted by two ESUSA Alumni, Mateen Milan (Peabody Tuned In) and Sheila Esquivel (People’s Music School and Chicago Metamorphosis Project) who will facilitate a conversation with Peabody staff and students to:

  • Discuss the Peabody scholarship opportunity and general college application information and tips.
  • Discuss how ESUSA programs can support students on their journey to and through college and hear from students what kinds of support has been helpful.
  • Alumni will reflect on their college experience as an ESUSA alum.

This session will be geared toward students, parents, and program administrators. Students who are interested in applying to school for music or continuing some kind of music study in college are encouraged to attend to hear from fellow ESUSA alums and to ask questions.

This webinar is for El Sistema USA Organizational or Individual Members only. Learn more about becoming a member here.

If parents or students have any questions, please reach out to us! If you have a young musician who is applying for Peabody, please email us at info@elsistemausa.org so we can ensure their application is free and to connect them with application support.
