I am a 17-year-old dedicated musician, scholar, and community advocate, graduating with an associate’s degree from Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC). Recognized for my musical aptitude, I have been selected for Oklahoma All-State twice and currently serve as principal bass for both the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra and El Sistema Oklahoma’s top group. I have had the privilege of performing at festivals such as the National Youth Orchestra Festival (NYO2), Youth Orchestra LA National Festival, and the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute, working with renowned conductors like Gustavo Dudamel, Marin Alsop, and Teddy Abrams. Beyond music, I am deeply committed to community service. I have contributed over 250 hours of service, holding leadership roles with Solis and Luna Arts (a nonprofit focused on music therapy), El Sistema Oklahoma, and the OCU Miracle Marathon, where I helped raise $20,000 for the children’s hospital network. My research on the effects of music therapy on Alzheimer’s patients further reflects my dedication to health and the arts. As a student, I was named The Oklahoman Student of the Week in March 2024, a QuestBridge finalist, and the recipient of two Governor’s Commendations. I am also actively involved in several clubs and organizations at OCCC.
