Job Title: Opus Site Supervisor
Reports to: Outreach Coordinator, Opus Project
Status: Part-time (non-exempt); Hours depend on number of sites and vary according to program and school calendars. See program openings for details.

About this Position
This position is responsible for supervising an Opus Project after-school music program at a school in the San Diego County region. They will facilitate on-site relationships and program logistics. They will support student wellness, record program data, and communicate with families and partners.
Responsibilities
Student Wellness & Family Communication
- Support a physically and psychologically safe environment with clear procedures and expectations
- Provide social and emotional wellness support for students
- Communicate often with families regarding student attendance, program enrollment, program updates, KeyNote program opportunities, and other information
- Develop collaborative and constructive relationships with students and families
- Center justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in everyday interactions with families
Site Administration
- Record data on program outputs, outcomes, stories, and impact using standard protocols
- Report student incidents, investigations, and follow-ups to program and school leadership
- Communicate regularly with school staff and administration
- Transport some instruments and program supplies to and from Opus sites
- Add and maintain signage on-site
Event Planning
- Assign teaching artist and volunteer roles for students at rehearsals, concerts, and events
- Collaborate with teaching artists to plan performances at the end of each concert period
- Make important announcements to audience and prepare student speaker(s)
- Collaborate with the Outreach Coordinator on event logistics, including setup, lighting, and sound
Other Expectations
- Complete and maintain required work clearance, training, and/or certifications, including but not limited to TB testing, LiveScan fingerprinting, and CPR/First Aid training
- Actively participate in appropriate administrative duties related to the role, including but not limited to meeting participation, payroll reporting, staff development activities, and communication
- Contribute to a vibrant, welcoming, and supportive team culture
Other related duties as assigned by the Outreach Coordinator
Qualifications
- Relevant experience or education in administration, social work, arts, and/or education
- Working familiarity with technology, word processing and spreadsheets, and digital communications
- Emotionally intelligent and familiarity with trauma-informed and healing-centered practices
- Strong personal alignment with KeyNote’s mission & values
- Bilingual a plus (English & Spanish)

Workplace Demands
- Work Hours – Part-time, hourly with some responsibilities on weekends and/or evenings depending on the program season calendar
- Location – Exposed to changing conditions in indoor, outdoor, and virtual settings–including in school campuses, classrooms, libraries, offices, venues, parks, and other community spaces
- Cleanliness & Odors – Clean to moderately clean; Occasionally works with children with varying access to hygiene support
- Social – Communicates with youth and adults in one-on-one, small groups, and large groups.
- Structure & Predictability – Low to Moderate
- Physical – Can remain in a stationary position; Can move through crowded and uncrowded spaces with or without assistance; Can use, inspect, and adjust musical instruments; Can communicate and exchange information and ideas; Can discern and assess student learning; Can lift and/or transport up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance; Can reliably report for work on time at job sites
- Light – Lighting is typically fluorescent or natural
- Noise – Noise levels range from quiet to loud

Approximate Hours by Number of Sites
Each Opus Site Supervisor works with either one or two Opus sites each season. Additional administrative hours are available during busy periods of the season. Here is the approximate number of hours depending on the number of sites:
- One Site: 10-13 hours per week (~5 hrs/week on-site)
- Two Sites: 20-23 hours per week (~10 hrs/week on-site)
