Common Application for Summer Study Application
January 30
Who is it for
This opportunity is for young musicians who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color) seeking to apply to various summer music programs through the Common Application for Summer Study.
Description
The Common Application for Summer Study, developed in partnership with Equity Arc and several top summer programs, allows eligible students to apply to multiple partner programs through a streamlined application and audition process. Each partner program offers at least one full-tuition fellowship, with additional financial support available based on resources. Students can autofill their application for other programs they are eligible for, and Equity Arc covers the application fee for all eligible students.
How to Apply
The application is hosted on Acceptd, an online platform for submitting applications to multiple programs. Once you complete your first application, your information will autofill for any other program for which you are eligible.
Each partner program has its own deadlines and serves different age ranges. On the application form, each partner is listed as a separate program, and you will be able to apply to them through Acceptd, ensuring a smoother process.
Application Deadlines
Each partner program has its own application deadline, so students should make sure to apply according to the program’s specific dates.
Financial Support
Equity Arc covers the application fee for every eligible student, making this a great opportunity for those who may have financial barriers to applying.
