ECoSistema “Elkhart County El Sistema” is a music and youth development program focused on building community through music in Goshen, Indiana. Through partnerships, ECoSistema creates an accessible pathway of music education opportunities from birth through young adulthood for all people in Elkhart County.
One unique aspect of ECoSistema is their paid high school internship program. Made possible through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club in Goshen, interns are employed by the Boys & Girls Club and gain hands-on experience working with their after school musicianship and orchestra classes. Interns enrich the program by providing more individualized instruction and mentoring for young students, and they benefit by getting real-world music teaching experience!
