Presenter: Dr. Crystal Sellers-Battle, Associate Dean of Equity and Inclusion & Professor of Music Leadership at the Eastman School of Music
Session Description: This session will focus on the community impact of the language we use in our organizations, both internally and externally. Some time will be set aside to discuss the implications of the Supreme Court decision on Affirmative -Action.

3:15-4:45 PM – Building A Culture of Leadership: Questions, Plans, and Processes (for Board Members, Administration, and Teaching Artists)
Presenter: Rachel Roberts, Director of the Institute for Music Leadership & Associate Professor of Music Leadership at the Eastman School of Music
Session Description: This session will explore how shared organizational language can build cohesion and opportunities for leadership across an organization through Eastman case studies and group discussion. Attendees will walk away with a malleable framework that they can adapt to their home organizations.
