Roberto Zambrano is a dedicated and accomplished music educator with a background in Cello performance and instruction. An experienced El Sistema Music Program Orchestra conductor, he is internationally recognized in the United States South America and The Caribbean as an exceptional Teacher to work with children of all levels of music education. Roberto’s ability to lead academic music institutions with strong communication and organizational skills has given him the reputation as a dedicated El Sistema-Venezuela figure passionate about sharing the gift of music.  

International Achievements and Teaching Experience

  • Founder of El Sistema-Venezuela Program
  • Founder of Dominican Republic Youth Symphony Orchestra
  • Founder of several Youth Symphony Orchestra in Argentina, including YSO of Rosario, Buenos Aires and Mercosur Lujan
  • Founder of 100×35 San Juan, Puerto Rico Youth Symphony Orchestra
  • Music Consultant for the creation of Youth Symphony Orchestras sponsored by CAF (Andean Marketing Corporation) in Colombia, Bolivia, Uruguay and Brazil.
  • Worked with El Sistema USA programs in Baltimore, the Abreu’s Fellow Program in Boston, Kidznotes in North Carolina, Soundscape in Virginia, Peabody Conservatory in Maryland, and El Sistema New Brunswick in Canada.
  • Lecturer at Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport in Virginia and University of Maryland 
  • Publicly recognized as El Sistema Music Program Expertise and Promoter in the United States during the 2019 El Sistema USA National Symposium (Detroit, MI).
