Lindsey Sharpe is an active cellist and arts administrator based in Chicago, IL. Currently, she is a Fellow in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and Chicago Sinfonietta. Lindsey recently earned her master’s degree in cello performance at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music studying with Norman Fischer. She also holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan in cello performance with a minor in Performing Arts Management and Entrepreneurship. Lindsey has held administrative positions with the University Musical Society, University of Michigan School of Music’s Chamber Music Department, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and the Sphinx Organization. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Lindsey spent eight years in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Talent Development Program, which provides resources for Black and Latinx musicians who wish to pursue a career in classical music. As an alumna of a similarly minded program, Lindsey is excited to serve as Business and Memberships Manager for El Sistema USA® and contribute to the great work that is being done!
