Jessica Zweig is going into her 2nd year as Site Director at Play On, Philly, St Francis de Sales where she directs a program of 120 students and 15 teaching artists. She comes to POP from New York where she was the Program Manager and Interim Director of Education at Harmony Program. As a clarinetist, Jessica was a freelance teacher and performer in the Washington, DC area. She served as Artistic Director of All Points West Chamber Music Collective and had a thriving private clarinet studio in the DC metropolitan area. She taught general music and led the after school music programming at the Sheridan School, in Washington, DC. At Sheridan, Jessica wrote and implemented a new elementary school Orff-based general music curriculum. Jessica received her Bachelor and Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Maryland School of Music. Jessica currently works for Play On, Philly, an El Sistema-inspired program. She previously was the Program Manager at Harmony Program, also El Sistema inspired. As the Artistic Director of All Points West, Jessica fostered relationships with local breweries, arts venues and historic buildings to bring creative programming to young professional audiences. And, as Program Manager at Harmony Program, Jessica worked to strengthen relationships with a variety of NYC arts organizations including Orchestra of St. Lukes and the New York Philharmonic Education Department.
