Ebonie Pierce is a Flute Performance Major at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. There she is a Wind Ensemble Librarian and is a flutist in the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Ensemble. She has been playing the flute since fourth grade where she started at Hazelwood Elementary School in Baltimore City.

While a student there she was one of three students awarded the first scholarships to the Peabody Preparatory of Johns Hopkins University to participate in a pilot program called Tuned In, during the summer of 2007. She was also featured in the Fall 2008 edition of the Peabody Magazine highlighting her accomplishments in the program. She studied under the distinguished tutelage of Dr. Rachel Choe of the Preparatory who has molded and skillfully guided Ebonie over the years, to become the gifted flutist she is today. Currently, Ebonie is a substitute Flute Teaching Artist for the OrchKids program where she has the privilege to teach private flute lessons and music theory. Ebonie is kind-spirited and bright and she enjoys opportunities to share in music making. She will be graduating UMBC in the Spring of 2023 and hopes to continue down the path of arts administration and program management.
