“Straight From The Source: Watch Venezuelan Teaching Excellence in Action”​

This presentation from the 2019 El Sistema USA National Symposium was facilitated by Tricia Tunstall, Acclaimed Author, Editor of The Ensemble Newsletter, and Coordinator of the New Jersey El Sistema Alliance and led by Roberto Zambrano & Aristides Rivas, Teaching Artists from Venezuela.

About the session:

Global El Sistema author and expert Tricia Tunstall facilitates an interactive session featuring Venezuelan master teacher Roberto Zambrano and teaching artist Aristides Rivas working with an ensemble from a local Sistema-inspired program.  Session participants will observe and reflect together on the distinctive features of the work, and will actively contribute to creating a  “Principles of Venezuelan Teaching Excellence” document.  The young musicians will also contribute to the discussion!
