Carmen Delgado is an accomplished Venezuelan flutist and marketing specialist based in New York City, seamlessly blending her passion for music with her expertise in social communication. She began her illustrious musical journey through El Sistema, Venezuela’s acclaimed music education program, where she developed her skills under the guidance of renowned teachers at the Flute Academy of Venezuela and participated in masterclasses led by internationally acclaimed flutists such as Philippe Bernold, Davide Formisano, Michael Kofler, and Sofia Vilands.
Carmen’s exceptional talent led her to perform with prestigious orchestras, including the National Children’s Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in 2010 under the direction of Sir Simon Rattle, and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Caracas in 2014, conducted by Maestro Dietrich Paredes. Throughout her career, she has graced world-renowned stages such as the Musikverein in Vienna, Cité de la Musique in Paris, Tonhalle in Zurich, Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, La Scala in Milan, and Palacio de La Música Catalana in Barcelona. In 2016, Carmen was appointed principal flutist of the Symphony Orchestra of Caracas. In 2017, she joined the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, conducted by Maestro Gustavo Dudamel, and continued to showcase her talent internationally at venues like the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg and Zaryade Concert Hall in Moscow under the baton of Maestro Christian Vásquez.
Beyond her musical prowess, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication with a specialization in marketing from Andres Bello Catholic University (UCAB) in Caracas. Carmen’s dual expertise is exemplified in her roles as a Teaching Artist and Marketing Specialist at Project Music, where she combines her love for music education with her marketing acumen.
As the Social Media Manager for El Sistema USA, she leverages her comprehensive understanding of both fields to promote musical excellence and education on a global scale.
