Post-Graduation

At the end of the academic year, successful participants will be awarded an Abreu Fellows Program Certificate and will be expected to work for the next academic year in an El Sistema–inspired nucleo or similar program dedicated to musical excellence employed for social change. Although no guarantee can be made that each Fellow will be offered such employment, the Abreu Fellows Program leadership will make every possible effort to find an ideal situation for graduating Fellows. Fellows will also network for potential employment during the study year. Geographical flexibility in job placement is expected. In some cases, Fellows will be sponsored by individuals or organizations with the intent that they return to their home cities to found or develop El Sistema–inspired education initiatives.

“The orchestra and choir are much more than artistic studies. They are examples and schools of social life. To sing and to play together, means to intimately coexist”
